ACH company permissions determine which banking areas users have access to, which actions they can perform, transaction limits, and whether a preset limit can be exceeded with approval. These settings apply across all ACH companies.
Using the Init check boxes, select which banking areas users have access to and which actions they can perform. For certain areas, you can also set transaction amount limits for each transaction, day, week, and month.
Note: The administrable areas—Company, Divisions, Groups, and Users—compose a hierarchy governed by a parent-child relationship. The permissions set at the parent level determine the activities and limits permissible for the lower levels in the hierarchy. For example, restricting access to a particular account at the Division level would restrict all groups and users within the division from accessing that account. Restrictions set for individual divisions and groups filter down through the hierarchy but do not affect other divisions or groups.
For each transaction limit you set, you can check Exceed W/ Approval, which enables users to exceed the transaction limit, subject to approval from one or more employees or groups. The employees or groups responsible for approving transactions make up an approval workflow. Therefore, when you allow transactions to exceed limits, create approval workflow that reflect your typical business approvals. See Managing Approval Workflows.
